Tugun Sporting Clubs
There are several sporting clubs located at Tugun, including the Bowls Club, Rugby League Club and Soccer Club. The Tugun skateboard bowl is a popular spot for young locals and has a dog exercise yard, cricket nets and a small BMX track alongside.

The general aim of the club is to promote a positive playing environment for both elite and social soccer players (Junior and Senior teams).
The Palm Beach-Currumbin Simcorp Alleygators Rugby (Union) Club has a fully serviced licenced Club for members and visitors and offers Pokies, Keno, Live entertainment, icy cold beers and the great meals. Located just behind Currumbin Fair Shopping Centre.
Coolangatta Tweed Heads AFC
This AFL Aussie Rules club is located at Len Peak Oval in Appel Street Coolangatta. Kirra Sports Club is located here with squash courts, pool tables and a gym and access to the tennis courts.

Surf Life Saving Club

Tugun SLSC is a licensed clubs and provides patrol services to Tugun beache and a Nippers club.
Gold Coast Sky Dive is located in Kirra.
There are numerous golf courses close to Tugun. Try Coolangatta Tweed Heads Golf Course, Twin Towns Banora Point, Chinderah, Coplicks Tallebudgera Valley, Meadow Park Golf Course or Cliff Douglas’ Tally Valley Golf Course.
Some of the best point breaks in Australia are at either end of Tugun. Snapper Rocks to the south is the home of the Quiksilver & Roxy Pro’s. Kirra is the spiritual home of Surfing and is currently having the rock groyne extended to hopefully restore it to its former glory. Primitive Surf have just taken over the Diverse Surf Shop in Tugun. You can also learn all about the history of surfing by visiting Surf World Gold Coast Museum at Currumbin opposite the Wildlife Sanctuary. They have amazing displays of surfing history, memorabilia and much more!
Ocean swimming between the flags is available at Tugun, Bilinga and Currumbin Surf Clubs and the Currumbin Creek is a great place to enjoy a swim.
Enjoy a refreshing body surf for hassle free surfing, watch out for boardriders if they are riding the same waves.
Get yourself a Boogie Board and hit the waves.
Stand Up Paddle Boarding
Currumbin Creek is a popular place to learn how to Stand Up Paddle Board. There are places to hire boards and or lessons to get into this new sport.
Kite Surfing is popular on the north facing beaches when the strong winds come up from the north or the south. Sky High Kite Surfing or Roar Industries offer lessons.
Canoeing & Boating
Another great activity to do whilst enjoying the beautiful Currumbin Creek estuary. Explore the canals, pack a picnic and pull in to one of the sprawling parks that line the creek and make a day of it! Check out Gecko Party Pontoons on Currumbin Creek for all your hire needs including paddle/pedal boats, tinnies, pontoons with and without BBQ’s for your boating pleasure! If you have your own boat there are plenty of boat ramps to get you out on the water and on your way!

Bike paths along the beachfront stretch for over 4 kilometres at a time and there are mountain roads and off road tracks in the Hinterland.

From paths along the beach front to rainforest walks, there is a different kind of walk for everyone.

The newest craze for fun and fitness all in one is available at the Tugun Community Hall.
A favourite holiday activity for many generations, grab the cricket set and find a park, beach or foreshore area to have a fun game of cricket with the kids.
