How To List


General Information

This new directory site uses a fully responsive theme which allows your visitors to view your site details on their iPad, Iphone or iPod as well as on their normal desktop or laptop computer. More than that this modern way of advertising your business is not only far more effective in attracting a computer ‘savvy’ audience but cost effective into the bargain!

Based on WordPress (which is used by over 2 million web sites) you can keep your listings up to date without the high cost of employing highly skilled staff. More, you can do this from any web browser, from any computer and from anywhere in the world!

It will also show your business as being forward thinking, cutting edge and giving your customers first priority!

If you would like to have a listing in this virtual directory then you will need to have an account (which is free) and on signing into your account a new menu will appear at the top of the window where you can add administer your listings or modify any that you have created or depending on your account view email contacts.

You are not limited to one listing in this directory but they are either free, paid or a combination of listings as follows and each can be selected when you create a new listing – please read their descriptions carefully when you create your listing.

c. Recurring payment package.

We use PayPal for payments on the paid listings which is quick and secure – in fact you don’t even need to have a PayPal account to be able to use your credit/debit cards!

All listings are subject to approval by the administrators. We reserve the right to decline applications for a listing.

Create an Account or Sign In

All you need to do is use the ‘Sign In’ link at the top of the page and you may either sign in with your account or create a new account.

An email will also have been sent to you confirming this to the email address you provided when you created your account.

If your login is successful the new menus will appear for you to use at the top of the window, they are:

  • Welcome,
  • Login Name,
  • Dashboard,
  • Add Listing,
  • Logout.
  • They are fairly self explanatory but here is a little more information.


The items that now appear on the right hand side allow you to access your account details and settings.

Add New Listing (or Edit Listing from the view Listing menu)

In this section you can add or edit the listing of your company or work group which you want to show in the site. To add listing you have to open your dashboard and select the “Business Listing” from the left menu of the dashboard and you can create a new listing by clicking on “Add New Listing”. Here you can add all the details of your company/work group as shown in the images below – your progress being tracked at the top.

Don’t forget to select the categories that you would like the listing to appear under – you may need to scroll the checkboxes to find the ones that you want. If you need extra categories please email me from the contact page and I’ll insert them for you ready to use. You can of course come back and edit the listing at any time and change any or all of these details – please remember, it will need to be re-approved by an administrator for security.

Please note that although the wording indicates otherwise, only a paid listing can upload more than one image into their listing.

When you have entered your address don’t forget to click the button ‘Set Address On Map’

The images that you can upload above form the set of slider images at the top of your listing, the recommended size of the slider image(s) is:

Height:500px Width:300px

You can however up load almost any size of image and the page will resize it for you although as a guide aim for a file size of 100kb – its also best to keep the image RATIO to 4 x 3 to get optimum results.

Remember that a free listing will only be approved to display a single image whereas a paid listing will display all of your uploaded images.

A red star by the side of a listing label indicates that it is a required field and is mandatory.

Enter all the details that you can (especially the description field shown above) before clicking the button at the bottom of the window ‘Update Your Listing’. These are all the details that a potential client will see and possibly judge you by!

Select the type of listing that you require and enter your payment details if needed – and don’t forget, all listings need to be approved by an administrator for site security before they appear in the directory.

Leads Capture
Free listings have any leads emailed directly to them, paid listings not only have any leads emailed to them but the leads also appear in the Leads Capture area for further use.

Don’t forget that you can add comments to the blog posts once you are logged in and participate in the local community.
